Consider starting between 3-6 months before landing in Canada. This will give us time to plan and prepare you so that you are ready to start applying for jobs well in advance.
Nobody other than yourself can get you a job. Our role is to inform, guide, and train you so that you apply for the jobs that are the right fit for you, approach employers in the most effective ways, know how to build and leverage connections to land referrals, have customized job search materials, and optimal performance in job interviews. Please note that in Canada, it is illegal to pay someone to give you a job. If someone charges you fees to give you a job, do not trust them, as it can be some kind of scam.
In career consulting, the client is the professional, the job seeker. The focus is on preparing the client to access employment opportunities in any company. You, as the client, will pay the fees associated with the services being provided. In Recruitment, the employer is the client, and will pay the recruiter to find them the ideal candidate for a given job. A Recruiter will not find YOU a job, he or she is working on behalf of the employer, and their role is to find great candidates, who perfectly match the job requirements. That’s also why you cannot hire a recruiter to find you a job.
The very first step is to schedule a 40-minute career consultation. This is key to ensure the program is right for you, and if any customization is necessary. During the consultation you can also bring all of your questions and concerns, which will be properly addressed by the career consultant. The consultation costs CAD 150. If you choose to sign-up within 30 days from the consultation, the CAD 150 you paid for it will be deducted from the cost of the program. If you choose not to sign up, that’s okay too. Most of our clients find the consultation extremely valuable, regardless of whether or not they decide to move forward with the program.
