16 professions that can now immigrate through Express Entry

These 16 professions are now part of TEER 3, which puts them on a similar level to NOC B; they are now considered qualified and can immigrate either through Express Entry or in categories of provincial programs that require this level of qualification.

 

Now will be able to immigrate through Express Entry:

Payroll administrators
Dental assistants and dental laboratory assistants
Nurse aides, orderlies, and patient service associates
Pharmacy technical assistants and pharmacy assistants
Elementary and secondary school teacher assistants
Sheriffs and bailiffs
Correctional service officers
By-law enforcement and other regulatory officers

Now will be able to immigrate through Express Entry:

Estheticians, electrologists and related occupations
Residential and commercial installers and servicers
Pest controllers and fumigators
Other repairers and servicers
Transport truck drivers
Bus drivers, subway operators and other transit operators
Heavy equipment operators
Aircraft assemblers and aircraft assembly inspectors

 

In this same package of changes, 3 categories are no longer eligible, they are:

- Other performers
- Program leaders and instructors in recreation, sport, and fitness
- Tailors, dressmakers, furriers, and milliners
